Are you holding a grudge? About?
No I am not. Allow me this opportunity to share a thought about forgiveness: It’s a powerful act that can free your heart, regardless of whether you feel the other person deserves it. Holding onto unforgiveness can feel like drinking poison and hoping the other person suffers, when they might not even be aware of the impact of their actions.
I was struck by a phrase from my devotional yesterday: “Run the rat race as fast as you can, you are still a rat.” This really resonated with me and prompted deeper reflection.
In Philippians, we are reminded of what it means to be selfless as believers and lovers of Christ. Yet, in today’s world, we often find ourselves caught in a cycle of competition and selfish ambition. As someone called to share a timely message, I want to remind you not to get caught up in that, but instead, to strive to be more like Christ.
Consider the people in your life, those you encounter daily, and let them see Christ in you. This doesn’t mean being a doormat; it means not shutting down or devaluing others. If you desire to be loved, love others unconditionally. If you desire to be seen, see others through the eyes of Christ.
Please know that I see you and I’m praying for you. I love you, but Jesus loves you even more.

Philippians 2:3
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.”
I almost didn’t blog today. I felt like I had nothing in particular to say—but as always, something stirred in me after my sessions. That’s why this is coming a bit late.
I’m constantly reminded of how privileged I am to do what I do. My clients teach me so much, and today was one of those moments that left me thinking deeply.
You know that scripture: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper”? We pray it often, passionately. But today, I was struck by a sobering thought—what if the weapon forming against me… is me?
It’s easy to look outward, to pray against external threats, but how often do we pause and examine the ways we might be standing in our own way? Self-doubt, fear, procrastination, comparison, pride—these can be the silent weapons we forge ourselves.
I’ve prayed that scripture countless times, but now I’m learning to pause before I do. I ask for grace to be more self-reflective, to sift through my own patterns and choices. I want to make sure I’m not unknowingly praying against myself.
So here’s my prayer today:
Dear Lord, help us to exercise wisdom in all we do. Teach us to confront the enemy within before we point fingers at the world outside. That’s where true growth begins.

Isaiah 54:17
On the way to my son’s doctor’s appointment, I prayed for a good parking spot, knowing it can be tough to find one. I was so focused on a specific area that I missed a perfectly good spot closer to the building. I was momentarily frustrated with myself for being narrow-minded, realizing that my expectations of how God would answer my prayer made me miss what He had already provided. By the time I tried to go back, the spot was taken.
This experience made me think about how we navigate life. We often have fixed ideas about how things should happen, especially when we’ve prayed for something. But what if God has something even better in mind? What if, after we’ve asked, we simply trust that He knows the best way to respond? Sometimes, our own expectations can be our biggest hurdle. My lesson from today is that true trust in God means resting in the knowledge that He knows exactly what we need and how to provide it.
